Position Title QA/QC Tech Location Texas Gulf Coast Functionally Reports into QC Manager FLSA Status Non-exemptJOB OBJECTIVE
The QA/QC Tech will supervise and establish project requirements for selecting the proper procedures and techniques for project quality control for the discipline or project segment assigned to. Assist in supervising, training, and testing craft personnel on proper techniques and procedures. Coordinates and schedules Quality Control personnel for examinations and testing, conducts project inspections monitoring work activities for conformance to project specifications.REQUIREMENTS EXPERIENCE
Must have CWI certification. Must have 3+ years' experience as a CWI inspector. Must have extensive knowledge of multiple types of welding processes, and the materials used for each process. Must have good interpersonal skills and oral communication skills. Must be able to work in Excel and Microsoft Office. Must be a team player and have effective communication skills in dealing with co-workers and any other work-related contacts. Must have basic knowledge of the construction processes involved in heavy industrial construction. Must be able to use problem solving skills and critical thinking to resolve andidentifyissues, including safety risks. Must be willing to follow all company directives and safety procedures. Musthave reliable transportation. Must have a valid Driver's License. Must pass drugtestand backgroundcheck.KNOWLEDGE
Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and specifications. Inspect, approve, or reject welds according to specifications. Inspect raw materials. Provide informationregardingprocesses and specifications to welders, supervisors, and otherappropriate members. Test welders for qualifications. Interact and coordinate efforts with contracted or internal weld x-ray teams. Supervise and review project requirements,determineminimal requirements and procedures, schedules and coordinates required examinations, inspections, or tests for the discipline or project segment assigned to. Supervise or perform examinations, inspections, or tests as required by project management and/or client. Assistmanagement inselectionand/or testing of personnel to perform specific work activities toassistin ensuring work meets project requirements. Supervise or schedule examinations, inspections, or tests as required byproject fordiscipline assigned to. Supervise, complete, andmaintaininspection, test, examination, and Quality Control Records. Assure implementation of jobsite Quality Control Program. Train and evaluate Quality Control Personnel. Provide reports asrequiredto Quality Assurance Control on program status and personnel performance. Coordinate discipline examination, inspection and test plans with Quality Control personnel, projectmanagementand client representative.PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES & CAPABILITIES

Employeewillbe requiredto adhere tolarge amountsof standing, walking, bending, squatting,sittingand lifting. Will talk and hear to communicate. Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, andpull: objects, materials,controlsand tools. May berequiredto pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs. Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off platforms/ scaffolding usingappropriate fallprotection requirements. Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearingappropriate PPE. Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves and leather steel-toed work boots.
