Job Description

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled CMM Programmer / Metrology Team Lead to support the Aftermarket Inspection Center in Dallas, TX. This team plays a critical role in supporting part recovery and repair development for commercial turbine engines through advanced inspection and metrology processes. The ideal candidate will act as a site subject matter expert, driving precision, repeatability, and efficiency across both CMM and blue light/structured light inspection systems. This role is hands-on and will focus heavily on developing, validating, and optimizing automated inspection programs. You will establish standardized programming practices, ensure alignment with engineering requirements, and lead efforts around GD&T application and blueprint interpretation. The position will also involve performing GR&R studies, troubleshooting measurement issues, and implementing corrective actions to improve inspection reliability. Additionally, this individual will mentor and guide technicians and programmers while supporting knowledge transfer through documentation and training materials. This is a high-impact role focused on advancing metrology capabilities and enabling faster, more accurate inspection processes across the site.   • Expertise in CMM programming (ZEISS Calypso and/or Renishaw Modus/PolyWorks)
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
  • Experience validating automated inspection programs
  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience with strong metrology background
  • Experience leading or mentoring CMM programmers or inspection teams
  • Background in aerospace or defense manufacturing environments
  • Experience developing standardized work, training materials, and troubleshooting documentation
  • Familiarity with
ISO9001 / AS9100
quality systems
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement or automation initiatives within metrology
  • Strong experience with blue light / structured light inspection systems (ZEISS Inspect/GOM, ScanBox, T-Scan, or Keyence)
