IDENTIFICATION

Quality Reports to: QA Engineer 2) SUMMARY Responsible for the inspection of parts, components, materials, processes, to verify compliance with specifications. 3)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
q Inspect molded parts by sampling plan, components, materials and processes at various stages. qRelease molding machine to start new production (or restart) q Release acceptable finished goods q Verify quantity on boxes, printed bar code labels. q Get and maintain Quality Control required records per inspection instructions and control plan. q Use of testing fixtures, gages and perform assembly tests q If product suspect or defective reject and place on hold products. q Communicate main quality issues to next shift inspector. 4)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
q Print bar code labels, weight containers, and identify acceptable and non-acceptable products. q Notify and document quality discrepancies to Manufacturing Foreman, Process Tech and Quality Assurance Engineer or Manager. q Verify weight and dimensions of product using scales, gages, calipers, micrometers, fixtures, etc. q Identify and report quality / scrap problems or trends in the assigned area. q May suggest cause of recurring defects for corrective action to solve a specific problem. q Responsible for feeding information on SPC charts according to applicable control plan and request process correction. q Perform other duties assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief to equalize deskwork periods, otherwise balance the workloads. q Initiate action(s) to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformity relating to product, process and quality system. q Identify and record any problems relating to the product process and quality system. q Keep samples (retains) for first and last units from molding production runs. 5)
ACCOUNTABILITIES
q Perform accurate and timely inspections in accordance with requirement. q Complete all assignments within the established schedules. q Clear communication with Quality Assurance Engineer / Manager and the Manufacturing Foreman of any known problems or concerns related to quality or high scrap levels. q Perform work in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and work instructions. q Accurate input of information related to document filing on the computer. q Maintain accurate records subject to internal and external audits. 6)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
q High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED), six months or more related experience (desirable). q Ability to effectively communicate with all personnel. q Teamwork focused. 7)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
q Ability to operate assigned measuring equipment safely and efficiently. q Ability to understand and carry out oral written instructions. q Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees. q Physically able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs. q Able to stand and/or walk for extended periods. q Able to work overtime
