Duties Perform thorough vehicle inspections to assess mechanical systems, electrical components, tires, brakes, suspension, and body integrity. Identify and document any mechanical or safety issues using auto estimating tools and inspection checklists. Conduct automotive tire changes, basic repairs, and vehicle maintenance tasks as needed to support inspection processes. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment to diagnose problems and perform minor repairs or adjustments. Verify compliance with safety regulations and automotive standards by inspecting vehicle parts, accessories, and systems. Assist in auto body repair assessments and support auto restoration projects when required. Communicate inspection findings clearly to team members or customers, providing recommendations for repairs or further diagnostics. Skills Strong knowledge of standard passenger car operation and automotive electrical systems. Mechanical expertise with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance, repair, and parts replacement. Proficiency in automotive tire change procedures and use of hand tools and power tools. Familiarity with auto estimating software and vehicle inspection protocols. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly. Experience with auto body repair, auto restoration, and heavy lifting techniques. Mechanic experience involving automotive parts, accessories, and mechanical systems repair is highly desirable.
