Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform audits as specified by the Quality Plan and follow quality standard work Work in assigned area(s) in manufacturing.Perform product audits:
Inspect products and determine if they meet standards (First Piece Inspection, In-Process Inspection, Finished Goods Inspection). Provide disposition of non-conforming products. Use prints, procedures and process control plans to audit manufacturing process. Use Oracle to obtain Bill of Materials and Work Order Reports. Communicate audit findings with leads, supervisors, peers, or technical staff and provide advice and consultation from a quality perspective. Read dials, meters, and screen profiles to see if equipment is functioning properly. Use gages to measure parts or process parameters. Coach and train production staff on what and how to inspect or improve product quality. Lead quality teams and be involved in making decisions regarding disposition of non-conforming products, as required.Housekeeping:
Help with keeping the lab and production areas clean. Assist and maintain 5s practices.Safety:
Monitor events, materials, and workplaces: Identifying any unsafe situation and notifying a member of management. Perform administrative tasks. Document and record audit information. Perform process audits to ensure equipment, manufacturing set-up and process parameters meet the requirements. Other duties as assigned. What do we offer? High School Diploma or equivalency.Experience:
6 months of performing manufacturing quality audits.English language skills:
Able to read, write speak and comprehend English.Math skills:
Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.Physical Requirements:
Able to bend and stand in for 8 to 10 hours a day and walk for extended periods; Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. up to 10 times per day during an 12 hr. shift; Ability to adjust body movements or equipment controls to keep pace with speed changes of moving objects; Must be able to see details of objects that are less than a few feet away; Must be able to see differences between colors, shades and brightness; Must be able to use fingers and hands to grasp, move or assemble very small objects. Minimum height requirement of 60 inches.Work Environment:
Warehouse is hot and humid in summer months, cold in winter months, work indoors around large machinery and forklifts with exposure to noise levels that may be distracting or uncomfortable. Able to read part prints. Knowledge of measuring parts using gages (tape measure, calipers, micrometer, height gage, torque wrench, etc.). To be successful in this role, we believe that you possess the following skills, competencies & characteristics: Able to use Oracle. Ability to lead a team Physical Demands & Conditions (Applicable to Igloo Operators, Technicians, Leaders, and Other Roles in Manufacturing)Sensory Perception:
Must be able to effectively exchange information with supervisors and team members regarding production goals and immediate safety hazards.Situational Awareness:
Must be able to safely navigate a warehouse environment characterized by moving mechanical parts and high-volume industrial vehicle traffic. Standing & Walking Roles may involve extended periods (up to 12 hours) of standing and walking, including moving at a brisk pace and occasional stair climbing. Postural Requirements Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and working in low or awkward positions during production or maintenance tasks. Lifting & Material Handling Operator-level roles may involve lifting up to 25 lb repeatedly throughout the shift. Technician-level roles may involve lifting up to 50 lb multiple times per day, including overhead lifts. Where possible, mechanical aids (e.g., hoists, forklifts) are used. Fine Motor Skills & Tool Use Use of both hands is required to operate tools, perform adjustments, and handle assembly materials with precision. Visual Requirements Sufficient visual acuity (e.g., 20/40 with or without correction) is necessary for tasks involving inspection and safe equipment operation.Work Environment High noise level:
Environment requires the ability to safely work around loud machinery and may require use of hearing protection; employees must be able to recognize emergency alerts within this environment. Environmental Conditions Work is performed in a production setting where seasonal temperatures may range from 100-120°F (with humidity) in summer to cooler conditions in winter. High noise levels are common; hearing protection is provided and required. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as ear protection, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves, and protective clothing may be required depending on the task. Additional Job Considerations These roles can be physically demanding, involving repetitive motions and long hours. Technicians may be required to handle heavy molds and materials; use of material handling equipment is provided and encouraged.
