Job Description

Test the Product. Protect the Quality. Support Operational Excellence. Verdant Specialty Solutions is seeking a Quality Control Technician to support product quality, process consistency, and operational excellence at our Palestine, Texas facility. This role is responsible for inspecting and testing raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company specifications, customer requirements, and applicable quality standards. You will work closely with operations, production, and plant leadership teams to conduct laboratory testing, maintain quality records, support continuous improvement initiatives, and help ensure products are manufactured right the first time. What You'll Do:
Conduct visual, dimensional, and laboratory testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods. Perform quality inspections and verify compliance with product specifications and established standards. Document test results, calibration records, certificates of analysis (COAs), and quality data accurately. Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials or products. Support the Quality Management System (QMS) and compliance with
ISO 9001
2015 requirements. Participate in internal and external quality audits. Assist with investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain laboratory equipment and support calibration activities. Monitor laboratory supply inventory and coordinate replenishment as needed. Collaborate with production personnel to address quality concerns and improve process consistency. Support Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) programs and plant safety initiatives. Participate in inspections, audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and other compliance activities.

What You Bring:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical college degree or related technical training preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing experience required. Chemical manufacturing or chemical industry experience strongly preferred. Experience working within a quality management system and regulated manufacturing environment preferred. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications. Experience with laboratory testing equipment, analytical instrumentation, and quality control processes is a plus.
