In this energetic position, you will be responsible for inspecting, measuring, and analyzing products throughout the manufacturing process to guarantee they meet strict quality standards. Your keen eye for detail, mechanical knowledge, and commitment to excellence will help drive continuous improvement and uphold our reputation for superior quality. Responsibilities Perform quality control tests and inspections on natural casings throughout the production process, including raw materials, curing, and finished products. Inspect receiving and packaging stages routinely to verify quality standards are met. Execute pre-operational inspections and verify sanitation effectiveness prior to production startup Collaborate with production staff to identify and correct any quality issues. Maintain accurate records of testing and inspection results. Monitor and enforce compliance with quality and safety standards. Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance product quality and production efficiency. Conduct regular inspections of the production area and equipment to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. Assist with investigations of quality and safety incidents or complaints as needed. Monitor and enforce adherence to company policies and procedures related to quality, safety, and sanitation. Participate in the development and implementation of quality control programs and procedures. Stay up to date with industry trends and regulations related to natural casings and food safety. Ensure compliance with company standards and with
HACCP-HARPC
plans, GMP, and FDA and USDA regulations. Support internal audits and regulatory inspections as needed. Requirements Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills and Microsoft package knowledge. High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certifications or training in quality assurance/quality control are preferred. 2-5 years of experience in quality control in a food production environment preferred. Working knowledge of food safety programs such as HACCP-HARPC and quality assurance principles preferred.
