This temporary contract position is ideal for a healthcare professional with hospice documentation, regulatory compliance, and chart auditing experience. The QA Technician will review patient records, clinical documentation, and operational processes to ensure compliance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services , state regulations. Key Responsibilities Perform quality assurance reviews of Home health patient charts and clinical documentation Audit admission, recertification, discharge, and bereavement documentation for accuracy and completeness Review physician orders, certifications, plans of care, and interdisciplinary documentation Ensure compliance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services , state, and accreditation standards Identify documentation deficiencies and provide corrective recommendations Track compliance findings and prepare QA reports for leadership Assist with process improvement initiatives and policy compliance reviews Collaborate with clinical leadership, including DON, administrators, and interdisciplinary team members Support preparation for surveys, audits, and accreditation reviews
Qualifications Required:
Minimum 2 years of , home health, or healthcare compliance experience Strong knowledge of hospice regulations, documentation standards, and Medicare requirements Experience reviewing EMR/clinical records Excellent organizational and analytical skills Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems
Preferred:
Licensed Nurse (RN/LVN), Medical Records Specialist, or Healthcare Compliance background Experience with hospice QA, QAPI, or clinical auditing Familiarity with The Joint Commission or ACHC standards Why Join Us?
