Job Description

Overview The QA/QC Field Inspector will supervise and establish project requirements for selecting the proper procedures and techniques for project quality control for the discipline or project segment assigned to. Assist in supervising, training, and testing craft personnel on proper techniques and procedures. Coordinates and schedules Quality Control personnel for examinations and testing, conducts project inspections monitoring work activities for conformance to project specifications.
  • THIS IS AN ONSITE ROLE IN TEXAS CITY
  • EXPERIENCE
  • Must have Mechanical - HVAC and I & E background
  • Experience as a CWI inspector is good but not required.
Knowledge of multiple types of welding processes, and the materials used for each process is preferred but not required. Must have good interpersonal skills and oral communication skills. Must be able to work in Excel and Microsoft Office. Must be a team player and have effective communication skills in dealing with co-workers and any other work-related contacts. Must have basic knowledge of the construction processes involved in heavy industrial construction. Must be able to use problem solving skills and critical thinking to resolve and identify issues, including safety risks. Must be willing to follow all company directives and safety procedures. Must have reliable transportation. Must have a valid Driver's License. Must pass drug test and background check.
KNOWLEDGE
Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and specifications. Coordinate discipline examination, inspection and test plans with Quality Control personnel, project management and client representative. Inspect raw materials. Heavy focus on Mechanical and

Supervise and review project requirements, determine minimal requirements and procedures, schedules and coordinates required examinations, inspections, or tests for the discipline or project segment assigned to. Supervise or perform examinations, inspections, or tests as required by project management and/or client. Develop, implement, and maintain the project-specific quality plan, including inspection and test plans. Ensure strict adherence to building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications. Supervise or schedule examinations, inspections, or tests as required by project for discipline assigned to. Supervise, complete, and maintain inspection, test, examination, and Quality Control Records. Assure implementation of jobsite Quality Control Program. Provide reports as required to Quality Assurance Control on program status and personnel performance.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting and lifting.
  • Will talk and hear to communicate.
  • Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull: objects, materials, controls and tools.
  • May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.
  • Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off platforms/ scaffolding using appropriate fall protection requirements.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ONSITE IN TEXAS CITY
Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves and leather steel-toed work boots.
Pay:
$46.00 - $53.00 per hour
