This role reviews electrical schematics and mechanical drawings, identifies and documents nonconformances, supports root cause analysis, and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on energy storage systems and related electrical and mechanical components. Review and interpret electrical schematics for low-voltage control wiring and high-voltage power systems to verify correct assembly, wiring, labeling, and overall compliance. Review and interpret mechanical drawings, CAD prints, and layouts to confirm structural integrity, component placement, and mechanical fitment. Inspect high- and low-voltage electrical panels, wiring harnesses, and power distribution systems for workmanship, safety, and adherence to specifications. Verify compliance with applicable quality standards, engineering specifications, work instructions, and safety requirements during all inspection activities. Identify, document, and report nonconformances in a clear and timely manner using established documentation and reporting tools. Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to investigate and resolve quality issues. Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to prevent recurrence of quality issues and enhance overall product quality. Maintain accurate inspection records, quality reports, and related documentation in accordance with quality management system requirements. Assist with internal, customer, and regulatory audits by providing inspection records, explaining inspection processes, and supporting corrective actions. Use appropriate inspection tools and equipment, such as multimeters, torque tools, and calipers, to perform precise measurements and tests. Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment when working around electrical and mechanical equipment in the manufacturing environment. Essential Skills Minimum 2-5 years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably involving electrical or electromechanical systems. High school diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical engineering schematics, including high-voltage and low-voltage systems. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings, CAD prints, and assembly drawings. Experience inspecting electrical panels, wiring harnesses, and power distribution systems. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and document quality issues accurately. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing environment. Electrical and mechanical blueprint literacy. Knowledge of high- and low-voltage inspection practices. Analytical and problem-solving skills to support root cause analysis and corrective actions. Clear written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams. Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple inspections and priorities. Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate degree or technical certification in a related field is preferred. Experience with energy storage systems, batteries, power electronics, or industrial electrical equipment is highly desirable. Knowledge of electrical safety standards such as
NEC, NFPA
70E, or UL is an advantage. Experience working within ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems. Hands-on experience using inspection tools such as multimeters, torque tools, calipers, and similar measurement devices. Understanding of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles. Demonstrated ability to support internal, customer, and regulatory audits through accurate documentation and communication. Work Environment This role is based in a manufacturing and warehouse environment working around electrical and mechanical equipment. You will stand, walk, and inspect equipment for extended periods of 8 hours or more and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds as required. The work involves hands-on inspection of high- and low-voltage electrical panels, wiring, and mechanical assemblies using tools such as multimeters, torque tools, and calipers. You follow established safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. The environment is fast paced and production oriented, with close coordination between quality, engineering, and manufacturing teams. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of The Colony, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
