Requirements:
Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months. If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months. Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months. Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days. Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.Company:
Cobb Starting Wage:
$18.00 per hour- Plus additional shift differential for evenings, nights and weekends.
Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday apx 6:00 to 2:30pm with alternating Tuesday/Friday off each week. May include some holidays and weekends as needed. Work schedule is subject to change based upon production needs.Position Summary:
This position is responsible for monitoring products and insuring products have passed all critical control points while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspects chick quality; grades chicks; performs beak and toe trim and de-toeing of chicks; checks chick weights; performs box counts; housing; tracks number of chicks per box; performs data entry and recordkeeping. (70%) Other duties may be assigned and may change with or without notice.Such as:
operating robot; maintaining a clean and organized work area. (30%)Biosecurity/Animal Welfare Requirements:
The jobsite is a bio secure environment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility. Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the job site except for medical ID jewelry and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid contact with any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.Physical:
Must use safe lifting techniques. Must regularly push or pull chick boxes weighing up to 125 lbs. Must lift chick boxes weighing up to 40 lbs. While performing the duties if this job, the employee is regularly required to stand majority of shift on a concrete floor; walk; sit' and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; bend over; talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth per caption; and the ability to adjust focus.Tools and Equipment:
Computer, calculator, etc.Environment:
Required to work on wet, slippery surfaces and also in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments.Personal Protective Equipment Required:
Safety goggles and/or glasses, face shield, chemical gloves, waterproof apron, and rubber boots are required when handling chemicals. Ear plugs and ear mugs will be used as needed.Chemicals Commonly Used:
Formaldehyde is in use at the facility. Also used is disinfectants and lubricants.Safety:
Team member is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, LOTO and Personal Protective Equipment. Team member is expected to identify, address and mitigate safety related risks. Mask policy will be in accordance with any local, state, or federal requirements but will be provided to any Team Member wishing to wear a mask.Relocation Assistance Eligible:
