Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented gunsmithing specialist to join our team. This role requires strong attention to detail, paired with excellent communication and organizational skills in order to maintain consistent quality expectations. Responsibilities Perform assembly, disassembly, fitting, and technical development of firearms and firearm components to precise specifications. Conduct detailed inspection of components received and identifying blemishes, dimensional issues, or functional defects prior to entering CNC production. Assist with or perform basic gunsmithing tasks, including fitting parts, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring proper function of actions, triggers, and safeties. Individually inspect each completed firearm for functional reliability, cosmetic quality, and overall craftsmanship prior to final approval. Document quality control results, including failures and corrective actions, and route both passed and failed units to the appropriate production stages. Maintain accurate records related to QC, production flow, and inventory tracking. As needed, assist with boxing and shipping firearms in a professional, presentation-ready condition. Support inventory cycle counts, parts organization, and materials management. Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused production environment in compliance with company procedures and firearm safety standards.
Skills & Experience:
Gunsmithing experience or formal training preferred (certification a plus). Working knowledge of firearm mechanics, components, and tolerances. Experience handling firearms safely and responsibly. Quality control and/or inventory control experience preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve functional issues. Attention to detail, particularly with cosmetic finishes and mechanical fit. Ability to follow detailed procedures while maintaining consistent workmanship. Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and team coordination. Comfortable working in a production or manufacturing environment.
