Job Description
The Continuous Improvement Technician studies existing processes and looks for ways to increase efficiency and productivity while ensuring quality and safety protocols are met. This role will support Engineering lab. This role will educate employees on Continuous Improvement/Kaizen principles and practices to drive process improvements. Position Responsibilities may include; Builds material racks / carts that handle the parts safely and carefully in order to keep quality of the parts. Modifies , Repairs , and Builds More of existing structures Partner with lab technicians and supervisors to collect observations, ideas, and solutions Building Prototype structures which include but are not limited to workstations/racks/carts using Creform/SUS/80.20 material Read and understand basic dimensions required to build different types of structures. Take measurements necessary and incorporate into drawings of workstations/racks/carts to be built Recognizing motion MUDA and seeks solutions to eliminate the MUDA Deliver structures to Genba area and insure it is working as intended. Troubleshoots and identify root cause of problems that occur during implementation Participate in Kaizen Meetings and discussions. Provide input. Organizes and visually updates Kaizen Projects Status. Alert Team Lead when project will be delayed or missed deadline. Identifies problems and uses PDCA cycle. Drive safety, quality and efficiency measures through proactive problem resolution, follow-up, and follow-through Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs

Knowledge and Skills:
Effective verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills Motivation to learn and develop individual skill sets Knowledge of MS Office Comfortable with Hand and power tools Mechanically inclined and like to work with hand and power tools Able to build Creform, SUS, 80/20 etc. structures. Use of measuring tape Ability to read and understand technical documents, read measurement devices such as rulers, calipers, gauges and multimeters preferred Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Problem solving techniques Strong team player, results orientated, dedication to excellence and sense of urgency to achieve business objectives Ability to use good judgement and strong work ethics and integrity on the job
Experience:
1 year of experience in related role
Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
