CMM PROGRAMMER
Howmet Aerospace - 2.9 Wichita Falls, TX Job Details Full-time 1 hour ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description This position is responsible for developing and maintaining CMM programming, software programming, CAD modeling, and inspection of measurement tooling. Job Responsibilities Develop Dimensional inspection programs using various programming languages such as Visual Basic, PC-DMIS, and Python based on requirements, customer blueprints, CAD models, and specifications to be used for manufacturing data collection, analysis, and distribution. Support existing CMM programs by troubleshooting, implementing modifications, or adding new information as required. Use NX CAD software to extract geometric information from CAD models required to generate CMM part programs. Perform inspection and calibration of measurement tooling and equipment. Support gauge R&R studies and dimensional correlation processes. Perform all documentation necessary to satisfy customer and quality requirements. Other responsibilities as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
Basic understanding of metrology, including the application of CMMs. Blueprint reading and interpretation. Proficient with geometry and trigonometry. Familiar with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. Basic computer knowledge and application (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) Ability to use basic measurement equipment (Calipers, Micrometers, scales, etc.) CAD modeling experience preferred.
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED equivalency required. This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer Associate Degree and technical training. Minimum of 3 years experience with related job functions. Prefer robot programming experience. Prefer PLC programming and troubleshooting experience. Prefer panel building and machine wiring experience. Prefer schematic and blueprint reading experience.
