Job Description
Express Employment Professionals is seeking applicants for a PM - Quality Control position for a local Winnsboro, Tx company! We are a full-service Staffing Firm where we work with companies in East Texas that have full-time, part-time and temporary. Since we cannot guarantee placement, there is no fee for using our services! In this role, you will: Perform dimensional and visual inspections of parts, sub-assemblies, assemblies, fabrication processes, and finished products Conduct part inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections to ensure quality standards are met Inspect incoming raw materials and purchased materials for compliance with specifications Document and identify materials by heat number and maintain accurate inspection records Verify steel fabrications meet approved shop drawings by checking dimensional accuracy of parts and assemblies Visually inspect welds and identify defects or quality concerns Document and report all non-conformities found during inspections Communicate inspection findings with management and shop floor employees in a professional manner Recommend corrective actions for ongoing quality issues and assist welders in correcting deficiencies Help ensure all products meet customer, company, and industry standards We like to hear from candidates with the following: Strong knowledge of steel fabrication practices, procedures, and quality standards Working knowledge of applicable codes and specifications such as AISC and AWS Experience performing weld inspections and dimensional inspections Ability to work independently with strong initiative and attention to detail Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, squares, and weld inspection tools Comfortable working around fabrication machinery, weld areas, forklifts, jib cranes, and overhead cranes Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills Ability to stand and move throughout the shop for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Safety-focused with a commitment to maintaining quality and accuracy !
