Role Materials Coordinator Location:
850 West Brush Wellman Road, Delta, UT 84624 Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) is seeking a Materials Coordinator responsible for the efficient coordination and execution of materials management activities to support construction operations. This role ensures the accurate receipt, inspection, storage, kitting, and distribution of project materials, enabling safe, timely, and effective field execution. What You'll Do Ensures safe handling, storage, and control of all materials in compliance with engineering specifications, QA/QC standards, and project requirements Manages receiving, inspection, counting, and reconciliation of delivered materials across sites, warehouses, and laydown yards, resolving discrepancies (overage, shortage, damage, quality issues) Oversees staging, kitting, bundling, loading, and distribution of materials and equipment to support efficient construction execution and logistics flow Acts as primary liaison between project managers, engineering, procurement, suppliers, fabricators, and construction teams to resolve material-related issues Conducts inventory audits and maintains real-time system records to ensure accuracy, traceability, and reporting integrity Manages QA/QC receiving and issuing processes, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with project standards Supports project mobilization, demobilization, and closeout activities, including surplus material disposition and PO completion Maintains safe, clean, and organized laydown yard operations in alignment with company safety policies and procedures Performs additional duties as required to support project and operational needs What You'll Bring Required Experience and Education High school diploma (or equivalent) 3 years' experience managing materials for a warehouse or lay-down yard; with at least 1 year of experience with EPC projects within the electric power delivery sector Understanding of receiving processes related to physical counts, inspections, inventory, storage, and issuance of material Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Certified Forklift Operator 8K•55K telescoping lifts (Lull) and skid-steers to lift, move, or place equipment or materials; or the ability to obtain this certification soon upon hire Physical Requirements Ability to lift objects weighing at least 50 pounds Skills Self-starter Ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team Strong problem evaluation/solving skills Ability to interact effectively and professionally with other team members Strong organizational and time management skills Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Strong knowledge of safety best practices employed by the construction industry Ability to work irregular schedule and meet required deadlines
