Job Description

If you're the person who notices the detail that everyone else walked past, this is the kind of quality role where that skill matters. You'll be out in the field on a utility-scale renewable energy project , inspecting work as it's being built, not sitting behind a desk waiting for someone to hand you a problem. You'll work across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and subsurface installations, using drawings, specifications, codes, and your construction experience to determine whether the work is being done right. You'll spend your days inspecting construction activities, identifying deficiencies, maintaining an issues list, and reporting non-conformances to the Site Quality Manager. You'll verify contractors are following the site-specific quality plan, help identify solutions when something isn't right, and document your findings clearly for the project team. You won't be there to tell the EPC contractor how to build. You'll observe, identify, document, and recommend based on the contract requirements and industry standards. You'll also work alongside the Site Safety Manager when quality and safety intersect and help reinforce better quality practices with the project team.
What you get:
$35-$45/hour with approximately 50 hours/week , plus $160/day per diem for eligible travelers. A truck and laptop are provided, along with a $50/month cell phone allowance . Qualifying long-distance assignments can also include rotation, travel, and mobilization benefits under the project policy. You are someone who can read construction drawings, understands how work gets installed in the field, asks questions when something doesn't look right, and can communicate a problem without creating unnecessary noise. Renewable-energy inspection experience is preferred, particularly experience around PV, BESS, wind, or substations .
