Job Description

Loudoun Water, a public water and sewer utility located in Ashburn, Virginia, has an immediate opening for a Water Quality Technician. The individual will collect water samples throughout our central distribution system and reservoirs for analysis to support water distribution compliance and the Water Quality Program. Additionally, the water quality technician is cross trained to assist in some laboratory analyses, assisting in ensuring drinking water quality meets all required standards. The individual also will work closely with customers of the central distribution system for water quality inquiry calls that are received. Current work schedule for a water quality technician is Monday-Friday during normal business hours. Future schedules may include a regular weekend day. Position also requires participation in a rotating on-call schedule (approximately every 3-4 weeks), which may occasionally result in after-hours response requirements.
Requirements:
Graduation from high school; three years work experience in plumbing or piping systems, or water and sewer utility work preferred. Ability to complete a Virginia Boater's Safety Course within 4 months of start of employment. Must hold a valid driver's license.
Salary Range:
$59,000-$71,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. Position will remain open until filled. EOE Apply online at www.loudounwater.org.
