Job Description

Summary of Responsibilities The Quality Assurance Specialist works as a member of the Quality Assurance Team in a support role to Yupo Production operations. Primary job responsibilities include all QA activities involved in producing and evaluating Yupo products. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills to support the training function of operation personnel, responsive to manufacturing needs and requests as well as capable of clearly documenting issues and results. Strong self-initiative, motivation, and a high level of accuracy to review and process data, assist in resolving operational issues timely and effective manner, and support other QA members in daily activities (shared workload). Capable of working rotating job assignments, including 2nd shift, weekends, holidays, and on-call support. Essential Functions
  • Uphold the "Our Safety, Our Standard, Our Legacy" philosophy by complying with all safety standards, actively participating in safety programs, and serving as a safety advocate.
  • Foster positive team collaboration to achieve company goals through effective communication (oral and written), openness to feedback, adaptability, training and mentoring, conflict resolution, and proactive support of colleagues.
  • Perform product testing and grading to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
  • Deliver QA training to Operations staff.
  • Conduct raw material testing to verify suitability for production.
  • Compile, analyze, and interpret quality test data for reporting and improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize spreadsheets, word processing, and database applications to manage QA documentation.
  • Execute specialized testing to address production issues and investigate customer claims.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Participate in the development and continuous improvement of QA operational procedures.
  • Support additional quality-related tasks and projects, as assigned. Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in chemistry, biology, or other laboratory-related science, preferred, or equivalent related work experience in a manufacturing or laboratory setting (extrusion-based film experience a plus).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, have sound multi-tasking skills, be detail-oriented, and be able to prioritize multiple assignments with minimal loss in efficiency.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • May require the ability to lift or maneuver heavy items.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and kneeling.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Strong computer skills

Flexible work schedule is required.
Pay:
$18.50 - $20.00 per hour
