Job Description

AmeriStaff Employment & Staffing Solutions is seeking a Quality Technician for a reputable manufacturing facility located in Rocky Mount, Virginia . The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality standards, and experience working in a production or plant environment. Benefits of the
Quality Technician:
Monday-Friday, 6:45 AM - 5:30 PM, with some Saturdays as needed
Pay:
$18 Responsibilities of the
Quality Technician:
Record finished product weights, perform metal detector checks, case audits, temperature checks, icing thickness measurements, and other in-process data to ensure compliance with customer specifications. Complete pre-operational checklists and verify equipment calibration, including thermometers and scales. Conduct random raw material specification checks to verify compliance with standards. Assist in verification and documentation of inbound and outbound freight. Record and maintain temperature results for raw and undecorated products. Identify and report any food safety or quality concerns to the appropriate personnel. Enforce all company safety, GMP, and behavioral rules, promoting a strong culture of food safety and quality. Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to achieving company quality goals. Requirements for the
Quality Technician:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Strong math aptitude and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Previous experience working in a plant, production, or manufacturing environment. Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate records.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally. Frequent walking, standing, stooping, bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, and use of hands and arms. Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. #INDAI2472
