Full Job Description Position Summary:
Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, the technician will be responsible for analytical testing and associated data along with routine production verification. Technicians will work with other departments to continually look for ways to develop and improve processes.
Job Duties:
Performs various audits and tests from the raw material stage through the finish product to ensure quality. Provides technical support with an emphasis on consumer requirements, continuous product quality and productivity requirements and verification for quality assurance and measurement analysis. Monitors product processing, consistency, and packaging integrity by conducting analytical testing, sensory, product/ingredient sampling, as well as documentation. Acts on any quality noncompliance and record all results of investigations, findings, root cause analysis, and situations that occur within the shift. Place holds on product not within specification by generating hold documents and distributing to the proper personnel. Assists in the disposition of Hold Product when needed. Maintains the QA Hold system daily. Maintains daily retention sample procedure for finished goods items. Maintains laboratory inventory of tools, supplies, chemicals, and assure all measurement analysis equipment is functional as well as calibrated on a routine basis. Appropriately monitors and responds to all process operating guidelines and comply with GMP & Safety policies. Assists with routine and situational GMP/Food safety inspections, exercises, systems, and /or investigations for any quality, food safety & security concerns. Performs testing of raw material sampling to finish product and Sensory evaluation (cupping)
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or GED or Technical Trade School Certificate. Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment. Certified HACCP and SQF training and experience highly preferred. Strong observation to details with ability to effectively investigate and devise corrective actions. Strong written, oral, communications and facilitation skills
Food Safety Requirements and Responsibilities:
Must comply with all Federal, State, Corporate, Warehouse and Food Safety standards, policies, and guidelines (i.e., HACCP, GMP, SQF, FDA, etc.) #

Must be willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be willing and able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment Must be able to meet physical, environmental, and mental requirements outlined either with or without accommodation Frequent lifting, bending, walking and standing for long periods of time
