Job Description

Job Summary The Quality Assurance Auditor is responsible for auditing products, components, and processes throughout the manufacturing operation to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and procedures. This role supports the Quality Management System through inspections, audits, documentation control, and continuous improvement activities. This is a 2nd shift position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Select and audit products, components, incoming materials, and in-process items per documented procedures, engineering requirements, inspection instructions, and drawings. Audit tooling, dies, and samples to ensure conformance to specifications and assist with proper disposition of nonconforming items. Operate test and measurement equipment required to perform quality audits and inspections. Assist with the maintenance and calibration of test and measurement equipment as needed. Maintain accurate records, inspection results, and required documentation. Support the administration and control of process and quality documents. Assist with resolution of consumer complaints and short job order testing. Participate in maintaining the Quality Management System, including quality audits, process audits, and document control. Assist in the development and revision of procedures, work instructions, forms, and checklists. Perform audits in other plant areas as required. Maintain housekeeping standards and comply with all safety requirements. Behavioral Expectations Follow all established standard work, procedures, policies, and guidelines. Practice good 6S habits daily, including safety and housekeeping responsibilities. Sort or inspect products/components using visual inspection, go/no-go fixtures, or other testing equipment as needed. Accurately record, document, and report inspection data and findings. Adhere strictly to inspection procedures and specifications when identifying defects. Contribute continuous improvement ideas and participate in improvement events as requested. Perform duties of equal or lower job classifications when trained and required. Qualifications Applicants must provide documentation of relevant experience and qualifications. Previous manufacturing experience and machine operation experience is helpful but not required. Ability to read and follow inspection instructions, specifications, and drawings is preferred. Education Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds routinely and up to 60 pounds occasionally. Good eyesight, hand-eye coordination, depth perception, and color vision required. Work environment is generally clean and well-maintained. Additional Information The duties listed are representative of the position but are not intended to be all-inclusive.
