Job Description
Quality InspectorOnsite - Kirkland, WAWe are a leading supplier of precision motion control and actuation systems for the commercial and defense aerospace industries. The Kirkland, Washington facility supports the manufacture and assembly of highly engineered aerospace components and assemblies, operating within strict quality and regulatory standards. Quality plays a critical role across receiving, in-process, and final inspection to ensure products meet all customer, regulatory, and internal requirements.
The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing detailed inspections of aerospace components and assemblies, verifying conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions, and ensuring that all documentation is complete and accurate prior to shipment.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform receiving inspections to verify incoming materials and components comply with drawings, purchase orders, specifications, and certification requirements.
Conduct in-process inspections of manufactured parts, subassemblies, and production operations to ensure adherence to approved processes and quality standards.
Perform final inspections to verify completion of manufacturing and assembly activities, confirm product conformity, and ensure all hardware and documentation are accurate and complete.
Utilize a variety of precision inspection tools and measuring equipment to evaluate dimensional and functional characteristics of parts and assemblies.
Prepare, review, and maintain inspection records, certifications, and quality documentation in accordance with internal procedures and aerospace requirements.
Support shipping activities and provide inspection support as needed to ensure on-time, compliant product delivery.
Participate in internal audits and follow established document control and quality system procedures.
Work collaboratively with quality, production, and support teams to maintain a positive and effective team-based work environment.
Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience performing inspections in a manufacturing, production, or maintenance environment using standard inspection gauges and test equipment.
Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience conducting in-process and final inspections in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret aerospace engineering drawings and specifications.
Solid understanding of precision measurement, dimensional tolerances, and inspection methods.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and reporting.
Familiarity with component assembly instructions, manufacturing travelers, and maintenance manuals.
Knowledge or experience with aerospace mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical systems is preferred.
