Job Description

About the Role Stellar Homes Services PNW is looking for highly detail-oriented Property Inspectors to help ensure our vacation rental properties consistently meet 5-star guest-ready standards. This role is ideal for someone with a strong hospitality or professional cleaning background who notices the small details others miss. Inspectors serve as the final quality-control check before guest arrivals and play a major role in maintaining our company standards and guest experience. This is flexible, on-call independent contractor work with assignments varying based on turnover volume and scheduling needs. Key Responsibilities Perform post-cleaning property inspections, including: Inspecting kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and common areas for cleanliness and presentation Looking for missed details such as hair, dust, smudges, stains, odors, cobwebs, fingerprints, etc. Ensuring beds, linens, towels, amenities, and supplies are properly staged and guest-ready Verifying that the property matches company standards and property-specific instructions Taking photos and documenting issues when needed Communicating promptly regarding concerns, damages, missing items, or touch-ups required Completing inspections within required timeframes prior to guest arrival Performing minor touch-ups within reason when appropriate (ex: removing visible hair, wiping a smudge, straightening décor, resetting towels, etc.) Requirements Previous professional cleaning, hospitality, hotel housekeeping, or STR turnover experience is
REQUIRED
Extremely strong attention to detail Reliable and dependable Comfortable using a smartphone for communication, checklists, and photos Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Ability to work independently and make judgment calls when needed Comfortable walking properties and being on your feet during inspections Flexible availability, including weekends and some holidays when needed Strong communication skills and professionalism Must live locally and preferably in a central location near downtown Vancouver for quicker access to properties and last-minute inspections when needed This role is not suitable for entry-level applicants without related hospitality or cleaning experience. Compensation This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not a W-2 employee role. Inspection pay starts at $25 per inspection and increases depending on property size, complexity, and location Most standard inspections take approximately 30-45 minutes Larger luxury properties and remote locations may pay higher flat rates Opportunities for additional assignments may become available based on reliability and performance Service Area We service properties throughout Vancouver, WA, the Portland Metro area, and up through Kalama, WA. Contractors are not required to accept every assignment offered. However, preference is given to individuals with strong flexibility, communication, reliability, willingness to travel within our service areas, and proximity to the core Vancouver/Portland service area.
Pay:
From $25.00 per hour
