As a QA Technician , you'll play a key part in ensuring every product meets strict customer, regulatory, and food‑safety standards. Your work helps protect consumers, support production teams, and maintain excellence across every stage of the process. Position Summary Reporting to the QA Supervisor, the QA Technician ensures compliance with customer quality expectations, food‑safety standards, and regulatory requirements. You'll monitor raw materials, in‑process items, and finished goods—communicating any deviations to QA leadership and Production Leads to keep operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Microbiological Sampling — Collect fresh and frozen samples using statistical sampling methods. Retention Sampling — Gather finished product and packaging retention samples. Equipment Verification — Check accuracy of scales, weight checkers, and metal detectors per SOPs. Product Holds — Ensure out‑of‑spec materials and products are placed on HOLD according to procedure. Quality Checks — Perform finished‑product quality checks based on customer specs and/or USDA grading. Label & Code Verification — Confirm accuracy of labels, package codes, target weights, and artwork. Chemical Handling — Handle chemicals and verify sanitizer concentrations per SOP. Digital Documentation — Record checks using compliance software. Food Safety Compliance — Uphold all food‑safety and quality policies. Essential Skills Organizational Skills — Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy. Communication — Clear, timely communication with QA and Production teams. Time Management — Prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Problem Solving — Identify issues and support corrective actions.
