  • POSITION SUMMARY
  • The Sr.
Quality Technician performs a broad range of quality assurance functions supporting Advanced Energy's Critical Sensing and Controls division in Vancouver. Responsibilities include executing First Article Inspections (FAI), monitoring equipment calibration, and conducting manufacturing process and ESD compliance audits to ensure adherence to internal procedures and ISO-based quality standards. The position supports STP and inspection activities as needed and plays a key role in maintaining data accuracy through timely entry into SAP and other systems. This role collaborates closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Supplier Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure product quality, support operational efficiency, and drive continuous improvement.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES
  • + Monitor calibration status of manufacturing and inspection equipment; coordinate calibration schedules to ensure compliance and prevent overdue conditions.
+ Perform Incoming and First Article Inspections (FAI) on components and assemblies, ensuring compliance with specifications and accurate documentation of results in SAP or other systems. + Support outgoing FAI activities, including documentation collection, record verification, and coordination of component-level first articles. + Perform ESD audits and ensure test equipment is maintained and verified per established procedures. + Conduct manufacturing process and product compliance audits related to assembly, ESD, calibration, and material handling requirements. + Support and perform internal and external audits, including preparation of records and participation during audit activities. Contribute to CAPA processes, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. + Support document control and change management processes, including updates to procedures, BOMs, and part records. + Support Incoming Quality Control / Inspection and discrepant material activities as needed. + Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities within quality processes. + Perform other duties as assigned.
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • + This position is an in-person role and based in the Vancouver, WA office. + Works in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment that may require exposure to excessive noise, electrical or other safety risks, and strict compliance to documented safety processes (including the use of appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
  • QUALIFICATIONS
  • + Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality documentation + Knowledge of
ISO 9001
quality systems and audit practices + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills + Effective written and verbal communication + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment + Strong data entry accuracy and documentation skills + Team collaboration and cross-functional communication + Understands Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts. + Proficient with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, etc.) + Strong leadership, prioritization, and cross‑department communication skills
  • EXPERIENCE
  • + Minimum 3 years experience in a quality technician or specialist role + Hands-on experience with product inspections, incoming inspections, and first article inspections. + Minimum 1 year of audit experience + Experience with calibration of manufacturing equipment (e.g.,calipers, micrometers, gauges, torque drivers) + ERP/MRP systems experience (SAP preferred)

  • COMPENSATION
  • _As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $25.00 per hour to $31.00 per hour._
