Job Description

Position Summary PMI is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Technician / PPAP Coordinator to join our Quality team. This position combines hands-on quality inspection responsibilities with PPAP coordination and quality documentation management. The ideal candidate will support manufacturing operations through inspections, process improvement, customer documentation, and quality system activities to ensure products consistently meet or exceed customer expectations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Quality Technician Responsibilities Perform incoming, in-process, and final product inspections to ensure compliance with customer specifications. Inspect and release product for shipment while ensuring all required documentation and certifications are complete. Conduct visual and dimensional verification using various measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, pin gages, height gages, and related inspection tools. Complete and maintain inspection records, reports, and quality documentation. Support calibration procedures and maintain measuring equipment. Provide quality support to the production floor by assisting with print interpretation and measurement techniques. Participate in corrective actions related to customer complaints, supplier issues, and internal process concerns. Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives. Understand and apply GD&T principles. PPAP Coordinator Responsibilities Coordinate and prepare PPAP packages, including PFMEA, Control Plans, dimensional reports, PSW documentation, bubble prints, and supporting documentation. Gather plans, prints, and related documentation for new product launches and customer requirements. Verify customer design specifications and communicate discrepancies. Maintain PPAP tracking logs and databases ensuring accuracy and timely submission. Manage customer and supplier documentation through portals and databases. Create and maintain deviations and engineering changes as needed. Support document control activities and ensure compliance with ISO requirements. Generate status reports and communicate PPAP progress internally and externally. Communicate professionally with customers, suppliers, and internal teams. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree in a related field preferred. 2-3 years of manufacturing and/or quality experience preferred. Blueprint reading and print interpretation experience required. Understanding of quality systems and manufacturing processes. Experience with inspection equipment and measuring devices. Knowledge of GD&T preferred. Experience with PPAP documentation and quality systems preferred. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Pay:
$24.75 - $29.81 per hour
