Quality Assurance Technician•Food Manufacturing | Two Locations | Competitive Pay Based on Experience | Full Benefits Legacy Bakehouse is a growing SQF-certified food manufacturer with facilities in Waukesha and Cudahy, WI. We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our quality team. This is a hands-on, floor-based role working directly in our production environment to ensure our products meet the highest standards of safety and quality every shift.
What You'll Do:
Conduct in-process quality checks on production lines throughout the shift Monitor and document Critical Control Points (CCPs) and quality parameters Perform testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods•including pH, moisture, weight, and temperature checks Collect and process environmental and product samples for microbiological testing Calibrate and maintain quality testing equipment and instruments Identify, document, and communicate non-conformances; place non-conforming product on hold as needed Support SQF and HACCP programs•complete documentation accurately and on time Conduct GMP inspections and internal facility audits Investigate quality deviations and support root cause analysis and corrective action Provide quality-related feedback and support to production team members Maintain quality records, logs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) Support third-party, customer, and regulatory audits

What We're Looking For:
1-3 years of quality assurance or quality control experience in food manufacturing preferred Working knowledge of HACCP, SQF, and GMP principles required Experience with laboratory testing equipment (pH meters, moisture analyzers, scales, temperature monitoring) Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills Ability to communicate quality issues clearly to production and management Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) for record-keeping Degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field a plus•not required Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a production environment
