Salary Range:
$40.00•$45.00 Hourly We are looking for 2nd shift availability. Shift hours are Monday through Thursday, 4:30 PM to 4:30 AM. Primary Responsibilities Coordinate between Production team and DOT Inspectors to ensure DOT witnessing of production operations and QC hold points are beingpleted. Perform visual inspection of material as required. Perform layout checks as needed. Perform rotational capacity tests on bolts prior to use in shop. Work with outside inspectors to resolve quality issues on the floor. Monitor welder qualification tests. Monitor and record welding parameters to ensurepliance with approved WPS. Read and understand Welding Codes and Specifications. Perform dimensional checks on laydowns and shop assemblies; use Total Station as needed. Develop improvements in the quality control process to facilitate flow of work through the shop. How You'll Succeed Ensure quality work is consistently flowing through the shop. Collaborate with welders and lead personnel to maintain standards. Stay accessible (radio, etc.) to perform necessary checks. Maintain accurate logs andplete required reports. Interpret specifications and applicable codes. Remain flexible within shift hours as needed. Coordinate QC hold point inspections with production and DOT inspectors. Promote and follow safe working practices. Requirements CWI Certification (required) NACE or BCI Certification (preferred) Strong understanding of specifications andpany standards Highlyanized with strong documentation and reporting skills Strong interpersonal skills to handle challenging situations Motivated and goal-oriented mindset Key Skills Strongmunication with crews, supervisors, and Quality Manager Ability to evaluate problems and propose corrective solutions Coordinate with shipping to ensure inspected and ready-to-ship loads Plan and prioritize work to support production flow Working knowledge of Total Station preferred Measures of Success Excellent attendance and reliability Strong safety record (zero incidents) Increased throughput and efficiency in assigned areas Positive feedback from team members and leadership
Pay Details:
