Job Description

QA Lab & NDT Technician Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry - Manitowoc, WI Every casting has the potential to become part of something bigger. From heavy equipment to products used around the world, our customers depend on every casting to meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. That's where our QA Lab & NDT Technicians come in. Using laboratory testing, industrial X-ray technology, and a sharp eye for detail, you'll help ensure every casting meets customer specifications before it leaves our facility. At first glance, a casting may look flawless. Smooth surfaces. Clean edges. Perfect dimensions. But appearances can be deceiving. Beneath the surface could be a tiny crack, hidden porosity, an inconsistency in the metal, or another defect that could impact performance long after it leaves our facility. Most people will never know it's there BUT you will. At Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry, we don't leave quality to chance. We rely on people who ask questions, investigate the details, and refuse to accept "good enough." People who are naturally curious. People who enjoy solving puzzles. People who understand that one small discovery today can prevent a major problem tomorrow. As a QA Lab & NDT Technician, you'll become one of those people. Work Schedule This is a full-time, 3rd shift position. Sunday through Thursday 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM Every day brings a new challenge. Here are just a few of the things you'll do: Perform chemical and mechanical testing on aluminum alloys to support production. Conduct industrial X-ray and other non-destructive testing (NDT) to identify internal defects. Support new product launches through material testing and first-piece inspections. Perform and document quality testing on Air Set, Cold Box, Green Sand, and Shell Core sand systems, including physical property and process testing. Conduct incoming inspection and testing of vendor materials, accurately record results, and monitor trends to support quality and production. Provide backup support for NDT operations, including X-ray and material chemical analysis, as needed. Behind every quality product is someone who refused to overlook the details. If you're ready to make an impact through precision, curiosity, and continuous improvement, apply today and join a team built on pride, hard work, and dedication.
