Job Description

Job Purpose and Reporting Structure:
Under the direction of the Quality Engineer, the Quality Engineering Technician (QET) is responsible for evaluating product performance, process controls, and the effectiveness of established quality systems, procedures, and installations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Execution of processes, product, and system audits. Responsible for work instructions in Quality area. Quality responsibility, implementation of quality objectives, continuous improvement, realization of suggestions for improvement. Enforcement of the guidelines found in the QMHs. Adaptation of the Quality Management system to new circumstances or requirements. Coordinate teamwork and communicate information within the organizational structure. Responsible for the quality of the delivered products to the customer. Provide support in the development of associates throughout the organization. Situation-appropriate application of QM tools (the right tool for the respective task). Determine the requirements for the products and ensure the ability to meet the requirements. Create and troubleshoot programs for programmable measuring equipment including, but not limited to CMM, form testers, finish testers, etc. Operate, set up, adjust, and properly maintain both manual and electronic gages. Program, operate, set up, and troubleshoot assembly equipment. Coordinate and/or perform MSA studies as required, Perform, analyze, and interpret MSA studies. Perform new product and capability, study dimensional layouts, and perform in-process inspections. Perform incoming and outgoing audits as assigned.
Desired Skills:
Experience in Quality and auditing Strong communication skills both written and verbal Experience with Metric system Experience with blueprints, standards, and hand gauges
