Job description SUMMARY- Quality Assurance Technician The Technician Quality Assurance supports quality assurance activities across repair, production, and process improvement. This role assists in testing, documentation, and analysis efforts to ensure products meet internal quality standards, performance expectations, and applicable regulatory requirements. Also helps drive continuous improvement through collaboration and adherence to quality best practices. Role and Responsibilities - Primary Assist in implementing quality checks throughout the product lifecycle. SOP Development & Documentation Help draft, maintain, and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), inspection guidelines, and test protocols. Ensure documentation is current, clearly organized, and compliant with internal and industry standards. Testing and Inspection Assist in the design and execution of product tests and inspections. Identify and report potential defects or deviations from quality standards. Process Improvement Contribute to quality reviews by analyzing process data and identifying opportunities for workflow optimization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the implementation of improved quality processes. Data Collection & Analysis Collect and assist in analyzing quality data from inspections and tests to monitor trends and performance. Support root cause investigations and provide input on potential solutions. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with engineering, production, and logistics teams to integrate quality into all phases of the product lifecycle. Communicate test results and quality concerns clearly to relevant stakeholders. Problem Solving & CAPA Participate in quality issue investigations and contribute to root cause analysis. Assist in documenting and tracking corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to ensure resolution and future risk mitigation. Required Skills Must be at least 18 years of age.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related technical discipline.
Experience:
Internship or 1-2 years of experience in a quality assurance, testing, or related engineering role preferred. Exposure to SOP development, documentation prctices, or quality systems is a plus. Technical Skills Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies (e.g., basic
SPC, FMEA
concepts, root cause analysis). Introductory experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, JMP, Minitab, or Python. Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and basic document control practices. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities. Problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative environment. Industry Knowledge Basic understanding of industry standards and regulatory guidelines (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA). Exposure to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools or software is a plus
