KEY RESPONSIBLILITIES
- Conduct audits, checks, and verification activities on key food safety and quality attributes.
- Work closely with Operations, Sanitation and Maintenance teams to resolve issues in real-time.
- Manage quality documentation and production data within QAD and other ERP/inventory management systems, including RedZone system editing, troubleshooting, role assignment, and maintaining system accountability across departments.
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and computer-based reporting tools to track defects, analyze trends, communicate findings, and support corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in employee training and ensuring adherence to SOPs, regulatory, and customer requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in quality assurance within the food industry.
- Bachelor's degree in food science, Microbiology, or a related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations including
HACCP, SQF
standards, and microbiological testing methods.- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in group settings to perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and professionally, including the ability to verbalize complex problems to diverse groups.
