The Quality Coordinator supports the Quality Assurance mission by ensuring that gages are present and functional on the shop floor, interacting with operators, measuring product, and evaluating data. Acts as a liaison between the production floor and Quality Assurance with the goal of improving gage selection, measurement techniques, and workstation improvements, along with facilitating two-way communications. The position will support projects, such as product PPAPs and equipment validations, as well as performing process audits to fulfill the requirements of our

Quality Management System Essential Job Functions:
(Required to perform the job) Ensuring gage requests are submitted to the QA lab for new jobs Building, verifying, and repairing gages Verification of gage presence and function at workstations Training operators on correct handling and use of gages Product inspections on shop floor & QA lab Process & documentation audits Product containments Problem solving Data analysis / statistics PPAP inspections & documentation Support equipment validation projects Assist Quality Engineer in managing the gage calibration program Assist Quality Engineer in selecting, evaluating, and validating new gages and measuring equipment Other assignments as business needs require Education High school diploma (or equivalent) required Technical degree preferred Certified Quality Auditor highly desired Experience Minimum three years combined experience working in a machine shop and inspection lab Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel & e-mail Professional communication skills (verbal and written) Familiarity withGD&T & PPAP
