Essential Functions Operate instruments such as water activity meter, HPLC, and ICP Perform basic chemistry assays such as ash and moisture Generate
GMP & GLP
documentation for quality control Perform instrument calibration including daily pipette and scale calibrations Maintain inventory of chemistry supplies Verify label content Maintain Shelf-Life program Prepare reagents for various assays Prepare Chemistry samples for testing and dispose of samples when testing is complete Perform Lab functions in a timely matter
Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma Certifications/Licenses:
2-year Associate Science Lab degree (Associate Lab Technician) preferred and/or additional college courses and work-related experience
Experience:
Up to 1 year; entry level position Experience in a Quality Control environment
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
Eagerness to learn a scientific area, particularly in chemistry Ability to follow procedures precisely Thorough understanding of the need to master properties of dangerous chemicals and how to handle, store, use, and dispose of properly and safely Capable of working on a team with different levels of experience and education Displays integrity in building relationships and a passion for the customer needs Ability to work well in a team environment Driven to produce results for continuous improvement Shows initiative to meet internal and external customer demands Be willing to grasp a basic understanding of general laboratory practices (GLP)
