Job Description

At Trident Maritime Systems - Heavy Equipment Group , we don't just build systems—we build careers. As our organization continues to grow, we're looking for a Quality Technician to join our Rhinelander, WI Team! The Quality Technician will work with various disciplines to meet the metrology needs of our individual customers. They will be able to perform dimensional inspections, develop inspection reports and demonstrates the ability to meet routed hours with acceptable quality and safety in the workplace.
MAJOR DUTIES
Work with the Plant Quality Assurance Coordinator along with all disciplines in the company to promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the plant. Perform supplier source inspections. Completion of receiving and final inspections and in-process inspection using precision measuring and test equipment in a timely fashion with results easily understood. Proper control of non-conforming material and completion of the defect reporting process. Support the Material Review Board Process. Prepare and deliver Quality Assurance related training. Support preventive-corrective action request and supplier preventive-corrective action request process. Responsible for control of quality records. Support customer and third-party quality audits. Ensure and support calibration program is in conformance with established standards. Participate in vendor qualification and supplier quality development. Measure, record, and report on organization performance progress. Assist compliance with
ISO 9001
2015 standards. Perform internal and external quality audits. Other duties as assigned.
QAULIFICATIONS
1+ years of experience in a Quality environment 3+ years minimum related experience in a fabrication environment (i.e., welding and machining of small to large equipment) Related technical training in Business and Quality in manufacturing industry a strong plus Familiar with
ISO 9001
2015 preferred
Microsoft Office Suite Experience:
Excel, Word, Outlook required Experience using an ERP system and reporting Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Initiative and ability to solve problems independently Ability to read and interpret drawings (both metric and English standard) Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Proficient in use of various inspection tools Training in metrology and advanced drawing reading Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Climb, bend and stoop frequently. Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
