Job Description

We're committed to being your go-to industrial brush manufacturer for all your industrial brush needs. Summary The Quality Technician ensures that products and processes meet established quality standards by conducting inspections, tests, and audits. This role involves collaborating with production, engineering, customer service, and sales teams in identifying quality issues, and assisting with implementing corrective actions to maintain compliance with company and regulatory requirements. This individual will report to the Quality Manager and be a strong partner to our operators on the floor. This person will have to captivate and communicate with all departments to address issues, propose resolutions, and see through the quality vision for the company. They will also maintain proper reporting, documentation, and any other necessary routines for the department. Pay Range This position ranges from $22-25/hr paid on a biweekly basis. All employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance. Schedule 1st shift: Monday

Employee will follow established best practices, procedures, and instructions to perform tasks safely and without product defects reporting gaps to their supervisor. This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. Ability to read, interpret, and analyze blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to ensure products conform and meet design requirements. Use measurement tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, tape measures, micrometers) to verify product specifications. Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods. Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements in quality control. Work with the Shipping & Receiving departments on recording inspection findings for incoming and outgoing product as required. Monitor and maintain the NCM and RMA shelf and log. This also includes Customer Complaints along with the dispositioning of actions to various other departments. Review and communicate weekly high scrap information to production and populate the high scrap log. Monitor and maintain the calibration log, along with scheduling or calling for calibrations and repairs. Conduct internal audits to ensure production is adhering to standards and procedures that comply with industry standards and customer requirements. Support with performing PPAP's (Production Part Approval Process) as needed. Assist in the training of the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence as needed. Update job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training. Help with determining the causes of product defects and reworks. Perform other duties as assigned. Works in accordance with Tanis mission and values at all times. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is a plus. 3 or more years working in a manufacturing operations environment. 1 or more years' experience working with quality assurance/control is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office software such as Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook. Experience with Global Shop Solutions ERP system is a plus. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Activities are performed on a routine basis using personal protective equipment (PPE) such as glasses, shoes, and earplugs.

Seeing Hearing Standing, walking or mobility for long periods of time Lifting, pulling, or pushing up to 50 pounds without assistance Climbing, bending, stooping, or kneeling Fingering, grasping, feeling, typing Activities are performed on a routine basis using personal protective equipment (PPE) such as glasses, shoes, and earplugs.
