Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION
Responsible for measuring, analyzing and evaluating process output to ensure that products meet the standards of quality established by customer specifications. In cases of discrepancy with specifications, provides analysis and assistance in root cause evaluation and corrective action implementation.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Read blueprints and standards to comprehend the quality expectations for products
  • Interpret product/process requirements to develop the part specification listing in Plex
  • Evaluate the production routing and develop the sampling/control plan for evaluating process output at each step
  • Inspect process output and approve/reject with respect to quality specification
  • Maintain records of measurement/testing in the business operating system
  • In the event of non-conformance, provide guidance for rework/corrective action
  • Monitor the use of measurement equipment to ensure safe use and calibration status
  • Assist in the recall and calibration of measurement/test equipment
  • Support the investigation of customer concerns and non-conformance issues by assisting in the research of root cause and evaluation of implemented corrective actions
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of ISO System procedures and work instructions
  • Participate in relevant Matenaer team projects as assigned
  • May be asked to perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary .
MicroVu multiple machines, calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, other handheld gauges as needed. Document, and communicate results to appropriate departments personnel in a professional and courteous manor. Process, and update work orders through production computer system.
