About the Opportunity We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented QC Technician Intern to join our Quality Control team in Laramie, Wyoming. This internship offers hands-on experience in laboratory testing, data analysis, quality assurance, and compliance within an industrial production environment. This position is ideal for students pursuing degrees in Chemistry, Engineering, Physical Sciences, Mine Planning, or related fields who are interested in applying scientific principles to ensure product quality and operational excellence. Responsibilities Product Testing & Analysis Perform a variety of laboratory and quality control tests on company products in accordance with industry standards and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Conduct analyses in a safe, efficient, and accurate mannerPrepare samples and operate laboratory equipment as directedAssist in evaluating product quality and consistency Data Collection & Reporting Accurately document test procedures, observations, and resultsCompile, validate, and report quality control dataMaintain detailed records to ensure sample integrity and traceabilityAssist with data entry, trending, and quality reporting activities Quality Assurance & Compliance Follow all applicable testing requirements and quality standardsVerify testing procedures are performed according to established protocolsAssist in identifying and resolving quality concernsSupport continuous improvement initiatives within the quality control process Laboratory Operations Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organizationAssist with routine equipment inspections and maintenanceEnsure testing materials and supplies are properly maintainedSupport daily laboratory operations and special projects as assigned Safety Strictly adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelinesUtilize proper personal protective equipment (PPE)Participate in safety meetings and training activitiesPromote a culture of safety and quality in all work activities Qualifications Required Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Associate degree program in: ChemistryEngineeringPhysical SciencesMine PlanningOr a related field Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to accurately collect, record, and analyze dataProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly ExcelStrong written and verbal communication skillsCommitment to safety, quality, and accuracy Preferred Previous laboratory, quality control, research, or industrial experienceFamiliarity with scientific testing methods and laboratory equipmentExperience with data analysis and technical reportingKnowledge of quality assurance principles and procedures What You'll Gain Hands-on experience in a professional quality control laboratoryExposure to industry-standard testing methods and quality systemsExperience collecting, validating, and analyzing technical dataOpportunity to work alongside experienced quality and technical professionalsEnhanced problem-solving, analytical, and laboratory skillsValuable industry experience that supports careers in quality control, engineering, scientific research, mining, and manufacturing Apply Today If you are passionate about science, quality, and data-driven decision-making, we encourage you to apply.
