We manufacture commercial fasteners (non-aerospace) and are currently looking for an experienced Cold Header Setup Operator to join our team on a part-time basis. This position includes setup and operation of 1/8" and 3/16" toggle cold headers and Hi-Pro machines used in the production of small fasteners. This opportunity may be a good fit for an experienced operator seeking additional flexible daytime hours in a small manufacturing environment. Previous cold heading setup experience is required. Responsibilities Set up and operate 1/8" and 3/16" toggle cold header machines and Hi-Pro machines Install, adjust, and change tooling and dies for production runs Manufacture parts according to blueprints and specifications Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments including calipers and micrometers Adjust machine settings to maintain quality and production performance Troubleshoot equipment issues and make production adjustments as needed Perform routine maintenance during tooling changes and setups Load wire coils onto spool racks Maintain a clean and organized work environment Follow all company safety procedures Required Experience Experience setting up and operating cold heading machines Ability to read blueprints and part drawings Experience using precision measuring tools including calipers and micrometers Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills Additional Experience Considered for Higher Pay Range Candidates with additional experience in the following areas may qualify toward the upper end of the pay range: Thread rolling setup and operation Tooling modification or fabrication Tooling troubleshooting and adjustment Pay Range Compensation is based on experience and overall skill level.

Typical ranges:

$28-$40 per hour Cold header operator with setup and production experience $40-$56 per hour Operator with tooling modification and/or thread rolling experience Skills and Abilities Strong mechanical aptitude Attention to detail Ability to troubleshoot cold heading equipment Basic math skills for measurements and machine adjustments Ability to work independently within a small shop environment Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Assistance and/or material handling equipment should be used for heavier items.
