That starts at the sewing table. We're looking for a sewer with a steady hand and a good eye for detail to join our shop. About Us Coastline Boat Lift Covers builds and installs marine canopies and boat lift covers for homeowners and marinas across Southwest Florida. We cut, sew, weld, and install our own work out of our Fort Myers shop. We're a small team where everyone knows each other, and the work you do ends up on real docks where our customers see it every day. About the Role You'll work in the shop alongside our cutting, welding, and install crew, turning cut vinyl and fabric panels into finished covers. A month in, you should be sewing our standard covers on your own, keeping up with the production schedule, and catching problems before a cover leaves the building. It's hands-on work, on your feet or in a seat all day with large, heavy panels. It suits someone who likes physical work they can be proud of. What You'll Do Sew boat lift covers and canopies from heavy marine vinyl and fabric on industrial machines Read work orders and measurements and build each cover to spec Sew hems, pockets, and reinforcements, and set hardware like grommets Check your own work for straight seams, correct sizing, and a clean finish Keep your machines threaded, adjusted, and clean, and speak up when one needs service Work with the cutting and install crew when a job needs a fix or a custom detail Required 1 to 2 years of sewing experience on industrial machines is preferred Experience sewing heavy materials such as vinyl, canvas, or upholstery fabric Comfortable reading a tape measure and following written work orders Able to handle large, heavy panels and rolls of material throughout the day Available for a full-time, Monday to Friday schedule Nice to Have Experience in a marine canvas, boat cover, awning, or upholstery shop Experience on walking-foot machines Some patterning or cutting experience Pay and Benefits $18 to $22 per hour, based on experience Health insurance Paid time off 401(k)
