We are hiring a skilled professional with experience in the window treatment field. Candidates should be proficient in making drapery panels, roman shades, bedding and pillows and be comfortable working with a variety of fabrics and hardware.
What you will do:
Accurately cut fabric to patterns and specifications and calculate yardage for projects. Operate industrial sewing machines (straight stitch, zigzag, serger/overlocker, and other specialty equipment as required). Create high-quality drapery panels, roman shades, bedskirts, duvet covers, and decorative pillows. Inspect finished work for fit, finish and overall appearance; make adjustments as needed to meet quality standards. Collaborate with production and installation teams to meet customer deadlines and expectations.
Qualifications and attributes:
Experience in the window treatment and soft-furnishings industry is required. Strong numerical skills to calculate measurements, seam allowances and fabric usage. Excellent attention to detail and a positive, professional attitude. Willingness to work occasional overtime when busy or to meet project deadlines.
Work schedule options:
Monday through Friday (8 hour days) or Monday through Thursday (10 hour days). We offer a weekly paycheck plus benefits including Holiday Bonus, Birthday Club, and after 90 days we set money monthly toward your health insurance. Paid vacation and sick time are provided.
