We are are looking to hire several experienced "Sewing Machine Operators" We are an 85 year old company that manufactures Industrial Sewn Products ranging from medical supplies, sales tools, sales kits and portfolios of every shape and size. This is not a position that is for a beginner or someone who does not have experience with industrial sewing.

IMMEDIATE HIRE

Responsibilities:

• Sewing experience using a single needle, double needle, serger, cover stitch, button, and buttonhole machines.
• Must be able to operate machinery, including start/stop mechanisms and machine specific tasks.
• Must be able to re-thread machine, recognize and replace empty bobbins with full ones, as needed; may enlist assistance from supervisor when necessary.
• Ability to read labels and confirm against work instructions.
• Ability to repair minor seam defects in products.
• Should be able to replace thread in the sewing machine, clean machine, and remove knots in the machine.
• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed).
• Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws.

Skills:

• Proven experience as a sewing operator but willing to train
• Must be able to understand process specifications and use these to complete the assigned task; must be able to audit finished product
