Union Sewing Machine Operator Join a union facility offering stable, hands‑on work and a supportive team environment. Position Overview Operate industrial sewing machines to produce quality products to spec. Maintain safety, accuracy, and consistent production levels while supporting overall team goals. Essential Duties Operate sewing machines safely and efficiently Meet daily production requirements Inspect work to ensure quality and correct machine operation Follow all company procedures and quality standards Communicate with supervisor as needed Maintain strong attendance Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Upholstery or needlework experience Machine operating background Double‑needle experience Inspection or quality‑control skills What We Look For Strong hand‑eye coordination Attention to detail Reliable, positive, team‑oriented attitude Additional Expectations Maintain good working relationships Keep a positive, enthusiastic outlook Perform other duties as assigned Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
