ABOUT BARRINGTON STAGE COMPANY
Barrington Stage Company, an award-winning professional theatre company located in the heart of the Berkshires, is seeking two Stitchers to join our team in Pittsfield, MA. JOB OVERVIEW
Stitchers are responsible for the high-quality machine and hand sewing required to construct and repair all costumes for the 2026 season.
REQUIREMENTS
Execute machine and hand sewing as assigned by Drapers and First Hands. Assist in the construction, alteration, and repair of costumes for all productions. Maintain industrial sewing machines, irons, and steamers in proper working order. Assist with the organization and restocking of costumes and materials. Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the season. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Skilled in operating industrial straight-stitch, overlock, and zig-zag machines. Working knowledge of costume construction techniques and materials. Ability to work quickly and follow detailed technical instructions. Must be comfortable working with students and volunteers.
