Location :
Monroe, OH Sewing Machine Operator Requirements/Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Must be at least 18 years of age Prior sewing or textile industry experience preferred (training available) Ability to use industrial sewing machines (double overcaster, serger, quilter, etc. preferred) Ability to read and follow work instructions and tickets Basic math skills including ability to add, subtract, and work with fractions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks Strong attention to detail and reliability Ability to maintain a clean and organized workstation About the Sewing Machine Operator Role As a Sewing Machine Operator, your responsibilities will include: Assemble panels and borders per established work instructions Operate industrial sewing machines using foot and hand controls Sew borders to panel cloth and produce mattress and box spring covers Overcast edges of quilter border materials Read tickets and collect required materials for each job Sort, fold, and stack covers, borders, and panels as needed Perform minor machine maintenance such as re-threading and replacing needles Maintain a clean and orderly workstation at all times Move materials and carts throughout the production area Follow all safety and production procedures Assist with additional production duties as assigned Why Work With Our Client Once hired on, employees can expect: Hands-on sewing and manufacturing experience Training provided for motivated candidates Stable production environment Opportunity for long-term employment
