In this role, you will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality awnings, boat covers, and other textiles. Your expertise will ensure that each item meets strict quality standards, adheres to precise seam construction, and complies with safety protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced production environment where craftsmanship and efficiency are valued. The ideal candidate is passionate about sewing, skilled in materials handling, and committed to maintaining safety standards throughout the manufacturing process. Responsibilities Operate industrial sewing machines efficiently to produce products according to specified patterns and quality standards. Perform seam construction tasks with precision, ensuring consistent stitch quality and durability. Handle various materials carefully, including fabric, interfacing, and trims, to ensure proper garment assembly. Conduct dimensional measurements on finished products to verify accuracy and adherence to design specifications. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring all sewing equipment is properly set up and functioning correctly. Follow safety standards in production by using protective gear, adhering to machine safety protocols, and reporting hazards promptly. Assist with manual fabric cutting when necessary, ensuring accurate measurements and placement for optimal sewing efficiency. Experience Prior experience operating sewing machines in a manufacturing or textile environment is highly preferred. Knowledge of quality standards in production and garment construction processes is essential. Familiarity with materials handling techniques within a warehouse or production setting is advantageous. Experience with manual cutting (fabric cutting) and dimensional measurements will be considered a plus. A background in manufacturing or warehouse environments demonstrates the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Strong understanding of safety standards in production ensures a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
