Job Description
We are looking for a sewing machine operator to set up, maintain, and operate a sewing machine in a production environment. Candidates would need to ensure efficient and timely production of product from start to finish, from cutting and sorting parts to be sewn, sewing, to boxing and storing finished material. On the job training is available to candidates with related skills. Prefer candidates who have experience with sewing, such as experience as a Tailor, Seamstress, Seamster, Sewist, Sewer, Dressmaker, Embroiderer, Leatherworker, Parachute Rigger, Quilter, Sailmaker, Taxidermist, or Upholsterer. Job requirements include but are not limited to: Operating a commercial sewing machine Daily cleaning of work area to ensure finished product meets cleanliness standards Other scheduled cleaning Meet production quota with quality product Potentially operate a die press to cut material for sewing as needed Inspection of finished product Minor warehouse work (moving pallets with a pallet jack, organizing, etc) Filling out and maintaining inventory paperwork
