The Licensed Stationary Engineer operates and maintains stationary gas-fired boilers, chiller equipment and auxiliaries. For immediate consideration, email recruiter Jake Baird. Please include resume jabaird@coh.org As a successful candidate, you will: Operate auxiliary equipment and controls the generation of a continuous supply of steam for heating, hot water, and process operations. Operate and monitor chillers and chilled water loop throughout the campus. Perform service and preventive maintenance on all chillers, circulating pumps, control valves, etc. Prepare boilers and related equipment for state and insurance inspections. Monitor and operate the chilled water storage system in all phases. Perform tests on water samples to determine and calculate proper chemical dosage for boiler and chiller system. Oversee all utility distribution on campus. Restore electrical services in case of any power outage. Monitor and respond to energy management system. Maintain accurate daily record of plant operation noting any change, in any central plant machinery, utility service, or any clerical system throughout the campus.
Your qualifications should include:
Two years post High School Trade, Business or Professional school Five years in operation & maintenance of high-pressure gas-fired boilers, chillers & associated equipment including emergency generators. Valid LA County Unlimited Steam Engineer License Current CA driver's license and a good driving record for insurance purposes
