Drinking Water Operator Internship Under the oversight of a trained operator, work within the W&S Operations Division supporting Drinking Water Operations staff in performing operational laboratory duties, monitoring treatment systems, obtaining readings, operating valves and pumps, inspecting equipment, and other duties Drinking Water Mechanic Internship Under the oversight of a trained mechanic, work within the W&S Operations Division supporting the Water Operations staff in performing maintenance duties such as preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, obtaining readings, testing equipment, installing new equipment, and other duties. A Water mechanic intern may also be trained as a Water operator intern. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively on a team project Ability to express ideas, information, and analysis in a clear and concise manner Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form using clear, concise, and understandable language.
EDUCATION
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a GED Certificate.
LICENSE:
